9.30-9:50	Murvin Auzenne, Chairman, HCDP Messaging	Committee“Value Frames” – What are some of the values that might be useful in talking health care issues why should we use them?
9:50-10:40	Ana Malinow – Background – the Healthcare system in Harris County.	Ana Malinow, MD is assistant professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and practices in the Pediatric Emergency Center at Ben Taub General Hospital. Three years ago, with the help of then 3rd-year medical student Lauren Oshman, she co-founded Health Care for All Texas, a group that promotes universal health care through education and policy setting. She will set the stage for us by helping us understand how the healthcare system is organized here in Harris County.

11:00 – 11:25	Victoria Hawkins – What we face now – presentation and discussion	Victoria She is a Registered Nurse and has a doctorate in public health from UT School of Public Health with a focus in outcomes research and health services organization. She will discuss an itemized breakdown of the federal budget cuts for 2007-2009 related to healthcare funding specifically for Harris County.
11.25-11.55	Discussion, Q&A
11.55-12.40	Small Groups – These are interactive meetings, so audience participation is critical.	Groups will discuss among themselves the values and positions they wish to see as part of the public dialog on labor and working conditions.
12.40-1.00	Small group reports and general discussion.	All
